Ella Richie Teresa DeMaria (she/they) is an award-winning writer, photographer, musician, and performance artist from Santa Barbara, California who currently lives in the Mojave desert. She enjoys spending time outdoors, and spending time with friends and family and her dog Indigo. She has served with the National Park Service as a campground and fees ranger and currently works in conservation and environmental media. She has written for publications like Bust Magazine, the Santa Barbara Independent, Desert Times, Santa Barbara Visitors Magazine, and Occidental Weekly, interviewed and reviewed some of the biggest figures in music, film, television, and received the California News Publishers Association 1st Place Award for Non-Profile Feature, 2017. Ella also writes fictional works and poetry. She records and produces music with Voices Of Where, Loma Dolora, Stars Ark, Bygone Pecan, and with Linking Lines (among others), and once toured with Nite Jewel and Chairlift as a keyboardist and merch person.
